I am Sabrina Gallimore– a woman of many “hats.” I am an attorney, a mother of five, and a survivor and advocate against human trafficking, domestic violence/child abuse, and hunger/homelessness. When I managed my law practice I represented special needs children and their families–theirs was a struggle I understood personally. My oldest son is significantly disabled and the “fight” is never ending. The proceeds from this blog and from my company, Naturally Elegant LLC, will be directed to his very expensive and very significant long term care. Should they exceed this need– 15 percent of the overage will be dedicated between two fronts. Supporting other families of special needs children and supporting the fight against domestic violence/trafficking/child abuse and conditions such as homelessness that contribute to these horrors.
Recently, I founded Naturally Elegant LLC in Leesburg, VA where I happily reside. This blog, my company, and all the recipes/products and “natural lifestyle” really started many years ago when my youngest son was diagnosed with multiple allergies–including a very rare allergy to polyethylene glycol. This substance is a stabilizing agent included in almost every kind of product imaginable–from medications to personal products such as shampoo/deodorant to everyday items such as toilet paper. I had to quickly educate myself as to a variety of chemicals and was stunned to learn how many of our everyday products have chemicals banned in other countries for the known health risks–including cancer and autoimmune disorders. When 85% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies–it really shouldn’t be surprising that all these chemicals can have dire consequences. I decided that I would work to develop products that were effective and healthy for my son, myself, and the rest of our family. Over the years, much research, and much trial and error I developed beauty products, personal care products, and herbal remedies that were not only healthy– but powerfully effective. What started as a need to help my child grew into a lifestyle of healthy, organic, natural living across all domains of life. I have seen the improvement in the health of my family; and, the improvements to skin and hair of all who have used my products is incredibly exciting. I am thrilled to pass that on to you.
Here I discuss the myriad of ways to incorporate medicinal herbs into delicious and elegant recipes, organic gardening, easy to make home beauty products, relaxed but elegant entertaining and all areas of “natural living.” I will introduce you to our local Leesburg providers of delicious, organic, natural products or help you with ideas of how to find them where you live. And for those that would prefer to purchase the products I describe–that can be done from this blog as well. I can be contacted through this blog; and, at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions; and, of course feel free to comment to anything that catches your fancy. I would love to meet you!
